We score providers using criteria that affect the trip itself: coverage fit, plan clarity, activation, support information and overall value.
What we assess
Destination and route coverage
We examine whether a provider offers useful choices for single-country visits, regional travel and wider international itineraries. A large country count is less useful when package boundaries are unclear.
Plan structure
Data allowance, validity, activation timing and top-up options should be understandable before payment. We reduce scores when key conditions are difficult to locate.
Installation guidance
A good service explains device compatibility, QR installation, default data settings and when the package becomes active.
Value in context
We do not treat the lowest headline price as an automatic winner. The amount of usable data, trip duration, network access and plan restrictions all affect practical value.
How scores are interpreted
Scores summarize the overall balance of the service. They are not a guarantee that one provider is best for every traveler or every destination.
Ranking updates
We revisit pages when provider offerings, activation flows or destination availability change materially. Minor wording updates do not automatically change a score.
